4th of July, 2011 marks the 30th Anniversary of Silverton Colorado's Blue Ribbon Run! Enjoy the scenic out-and-back course over the river and through the woods along the Animas River in the cool temps of the San Juan Mountains.  Winners in each age/gender category will receive prizes.

Race Start/Finish is in Memorial Park, Silverton, Colorado. After the run, you'll be able to enjoy the parade, Rhubarb Festival, Brass Band and Huge Fireworks Display.

Register early to be guaranteed a race shirt and other goodies! Also - we cannot accept credit cards on the day of the race - cash/check only that day.

  • When: 8:00 a.m., 4th of July, 2011
     
  • Where: Start and Finish in Memorial Park (North end of town, Greene St., Silverton, CO)
     
  • Distance: 10k, 5k and a 2k fun run (or walk if you prefer). Roughly, 2k = 1.25miles; 5k = 3miles; 10k = 6.2 miles.
     
  • Cause: 100% of proceeds directly benefit the Silverton Youth Center & Silverton Family Learning Center!
     
  • Onsite Registration will also be available 6:45-7:30 a.m. on the morning of the race in Memorial Park, BUT T-shirts and other goodies may not be available to late registering runners! Please register online if you can.
     
  • Dogs? Yes, friendly dogs on a leash are welcome to accompany you during the race.

This event benefits 2 great youth organizations in Silverton, Colorado. The Silverton Youth Center provides safe supervised activities for kids grades 2-12.

The Silverton Family Learning Center is San Juan County's only daycare and preschool. SFLC inspires students and community members to be lifelong learners with the courage and confidence to make a positive contribution to the world.
